2026 NNLA Field DayThursday, September 10, 2026
Come explore Kaspar Nursery!
Join the Nebraska Nursery and Landscape Association for the 2026 NNLA Field Day on Thursday, September 10, 2026. This hands-on event will feature presentations, discussions, walking tours, and field demonstrations focused on nursery production, tree care, planting practices, and real-world techniques for Nebraska's green industry.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the nursery, see field and container production practices, and learn from demonstrations related to tree digging, B&B practices, planting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and plant handling. The event is eligible for 3.0 CE hours.
Kaspar Nursery takes an ecological approach to horticulture, with function and habitat serving as key priorities alongside aesthetics. Their goal is to provide trees that contribute to a long-lived, healthy community forest.
As a specialty nursery, they focus on growing high-quality plants that are native or especially suited to the Midwest climate. Their production techniques encourage caliper development first, rather than height alone, helping trees build the strength needed to withstand environmental pressures.
